Uncle Seth NewsMonday, September 04, 2006 Podcasting PSA - "You Don't Need An iPod"
Back in July, I did an interview with John C. Haven's from the About.com Guide To Podcasting about Uncle Seth's involvement with, well, podcasting. After we did the interview, John asked if Uncle Seth would be interested in recording a "public service announcement" about podcasting, and in particular emphasizing that listening to podcasts does NOT require an iPod (a common misconception). We thought this sounded like fun, so John sent along some rough lyrics. We worked these up into a little ditty, and I created some kooky-animation to go along with it.
We released this on YouTube yesterday. Hope you enjoy it! Please comment here or on the YouTube site, and feel free to share with your friends and colleagues via the nifty "Share" button in the window. Oh yeah, there's also an MP3 version on this page for podcasters (and anyone else) to play. It's 100% "podsafe" John, thanks again for inviting us to do this, and we look forward to seeing you (and many others) at PodCamp in Boston!
Comments:

Anon - the song is indeed podsafe, check out http://musicpodcast.ca/podcast-psa/ for details. Char - yeah, I was going to send out an email to the car-crew tomorrow night to figure out when we can leave. I need to get some info tomorrow from the place I'm doing some training this week, I think I might be able to skip Friday completely which would be cool. We'll talk.

Heard the song on The Daily Source Code. Way to go! Nice exposure there eh. That Mr. Curry is a swell fella. See ya at the next meet up...unless we're having another baby! Cheers, Dave Two Boobs and a Baby << Home Archives
