Uncle Seth NewsFriday, September 15, 2006 CBC Single Debut & Interview, TIMA Nomination, Applefest!
Three, count 'em three, very excellent pieces of Uncle Seth news:
1) Tomorrow (Saturday September 16) sometime between 5:05 - 6 pm Eastern time, CBC Radio One's show Bandwidth from Ottawa will be debuting the latest Uncle Seth single "To Be An Angel" and broadcasting an interview of Tara and Jay conducted by host Alan Neal earlier this week. The interview focused on the band's recent visit to Boston for PodCamp, and their success with podcasting as a promotional medium. Unfortunately Bandwidth doesn't archive their shows, so to hear it you'll either have to listen live on the radio in the listening area (in Ontario but NOT in Toronto) or check out the live stream from the website: http://www.cbc.ca/bandwidth/ 2) Uncle Seth are very proud to be nominated once again for the Toronto Independent Music Awards. This year the band is nominated in the category of "Classic Rock"... hmmm, don't really feel old enough to be a classic but what the heck! Check out the many great acts nominated on the website at: http://www.torontoima.com/nominees.shtml 3) Like apples? Well we sure do! In fact, we like 'em so much that we're celebrating by playing a couple of acoustic sets at the 22nd Annual Markham Applefest.
