Concert for Peace Saturday & CBC Radio TODAY!

I wanted to post a quick reminder about the Concert for Peace. It's an absolutely amazing FREE event happening this weekend at Mel Lastman Square on Yonge St. this weekend.

The concert is organized by our friend the most excellent Brian Gladstone, and features our friends Shawn Sage & Laura Fernandez along with local legends Jack DeKeyzer, Danny Marks, Michael White, and many other great performers! Uncle Seth are extremely proud to be part of this special day. We'll be hitting the stage at 2:30 pm for a 45-minute set.

Speaking of excellent friends, our buddy Tod Maffin of podcasting and public radio fame just dropped me a line with some exciting news. Tod is hosting the national show "Freestyle" on CBC Radio 1, and he wanted to let me know he'll be playing Uncle Seth today just after 2 pm in Toronto, 3 pm elsewhere in the country. (99.1 FM is the frequency for Radio 1 in Toronto.) Tod has been a great supporter of the band since we met in Kingston at the Podcasters Across Borders conference. Thanks Tod!

Comments:
I, totally by chance, turned on CBC Radio and caught it. I never listen to the Radio so that was totally cool!

Hah funny, you must have some kind of weird Uncle Seth radar Bill! ;-)

It was pretty damn cool, wasn't it? Plus the fact that Tod admitted just minutes before he played us that his fave 80s Canadian artist was Gowan - I think I love him just a little more now than ever...
