Uncle Seth NewsThursday, January 05, 2006 Miguel's and "Both Sides, Now"
First, thanks to all who came out for the Lennon & Harrison tribute show last night. A messy-but-fun set from Uncle Seth was followed by a bunch of other terrific artists covering the best of the departed Beatles. Thanks to Tom Glenn and Ryan Ayukawa for putting the show together.
On to new business... To celebrate the release of their new single, a cover version of the Joni Mitchell song "Both Sides, Now", UNCLE SETH will be playing a special ALL-COVER SONG set on January 28th. The show takes place at the legendary Miguel's Club 329 in Toronto at 329 Queen Street East at Parliament! See this Google Maps link for directions. And YOU can help pick the songs! Here's how: 1) go to http://musicface.com/uncleseth/ 2) hit the big friendly button that says "Uncle Seth Cover Song Vote" 3) follow the instructions to vote for the cover songs you'd most or least like to hear Voting will remain open until January 21, and the band will play the top ranked songs at Miguel's. How cool is THAT?!? And as a special bonus, all those who fill out the survey will have a chance to win FABULOUS PRIZES at the 28th show! (Okay I admit it, we don't know exactly WHAT the prizes are yet, but they will be fabulous, we promise!) So head to http://musicface.com/uncleseth/ right now and cast your vote! More details on the Miguel's show will be coming your way very soon, so stay tuned! Archives
